Leading architectural photographer, known for his collaboration with Le Corbusier, Niemeyer, Prouvé, among others. Known for his commitment to social and humanist issues, Hervé sought a living presence even in his most geometric compositions. His career took a decisive turn after his meeting with Le Corbusier in 1949. Diving frames, oblique views, economy of means and the desire for abstraction characterize his photographic style very different from that of his contemporaries. His work has been shown in major museums around the world, and is part of the Collections of the Centre Pompidou, MOMA, Getty Center, Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris and many other prestigious private and public collections.
Galerie La Forest Divonne
Founded in 1988 by Marie-Hélène de La Forest Divonne, Galerie Vieille du Temps became Galerie La Forest Divonne in 2015, upon moving in new walls, rue des Beaux Arts. She opened a second space in Brussels in 2016, run by her son Jean de Malherbe. Two generations of gallerists build up an independent line of international artists, putting quality and timelessness as first criteria of their choices.
