In conjunction with the PhotoSaintGermain festival, Penninghen is inviting the public to discover a series of photographs by Art Direction students in its studios at the former Académie Julian, as part of the Arkhè exhibition.
The Arkhè* exhibition, presented in Kyoto in April as part of KG+, a satellite event of the international Kyotographie festival, features ten photographic creations, based on the same original exhibition set-up, illuminated by Flos, the lighting designer company.
- Arkhè (Ancient Greek: ἀρχή / arkhḗ) is a philosophical concept that designates the origin, the foundation, the beginning of the world.
École Penninghen
Since 1968, located in the heart of Paris in St-Germain-des-Prés, Penninghen has been training the best art directors, communication directors and interior designers. The spirit of the Penninghen workshop is a link, a strength of a network of 3700 alumni spread in France and in the world. From the outset, the school has had an international outlook through the influences of its teaching staff, its diploma jury members and the nearly fifty agreements it has signed with foreign establishments, which is what makes it unique.
