In a world where human footprints inexorably mark natural landscapes, it becomes essential to reimage these spaces in their original state of purity. My project, "The Besieged Mountain," explores this quest by using photography and painting as a medium to restore a visual and emotional balance between the mountains and human intervention.
Each brushstroke is a conscious effort to remove human alterations and reveal the natural splendour of the mountains. Sometimes, on the contrary, I use painting to highlight the human presence by enhancing its elements, thus emphasizing their stark contrast with the pristine natural environment. This process seeks to recall the respect as well as the tension between wild nature and the modifications made by man.
The final works are not simply images, but visual dialogues that question the fragile dynamics between man and nature. They invite a deep reflection on what we lose when we invade these precious spaces, emphasizing the importance of conservation and respect for natural landscapes.
“The Besieged Mountain” is an attempt to reintroduce the serenity of nature and to recall the need to preserve these natural wonders in the face of human proliferation. These works aim to awaken awareness and celebrate the timeless beauty of the mountains.
